Is your business looking for more sales?
Would you like to identify time-wasters?
Do you want to shorten your sales cycle?
A database-driven website can help your business.
If you are looking to launch a company website or your current website is not producing good leads, and you are wasting too much time chasing the sale, then I will explain why a database-driven website can provide you with more sales and save you time.
There are many reasons why traffic may come to your website. But once a visitor enters your site you need to identify any potential customers and allow those with serious intentions to be proactive in contacting you with their interest.
By including a simple ‘call to action’ on every page you will be enticing readers to contact you. This can be as simple as a telephone number or email address. The vast majority of window shoppers will not initiate contact.
But some people will contact you for your expert opinion or seeking advice irrelevant to your products and services. It is always good to offer ‘value added’ services for free as this will be remembered, but do not lose focus.
Of those potential customers who contact you, a contact form can shorten your sales cycle and help future marketing too.
If someone completes a contact form on your website it can be sent to the correct person in your organisation. By doing so, it will speed up your sales cycle, as someone who has specified an interest in your products or services. Your sales department can spend less time ‘cold calling’.
A registration form on a database-driven website can also register a person’s details in your database, as well as their interest in your company. Personal details can be stored for future marketing. It is good to offer free registration to all customers, and maybe offer an incentive to do so, but nothing that is going to attract ‘dead registrations’. By that I mean a free gift that will attract someone that is outside your target audience and therefore no use to you at all.
By choosing a database-driven website your company can be more proactive online and use a website as powerful sales & marketing tool, and not simply a passive shop window for traffic to browse.
